About

Anlie Williams is a first-year PhD student in English at Vanderbilt University. She received her bachelor’s and master's in English from UNCW.

 

During her time at UNCW, Anlie presented research at the Reception Study Society’s 2023 conference at New Mexico State University and the South Atlantic Modern Language Association’s 95th annual conference. She received grants and honors such as the New Scholar Award, the Wentworth Fellowship, a Graduate Student Association Travel Grant, and a Graduate School Travel Award. Additionally, she worked as a writing consultant for the University Learning Center, a peer mentor for English 101 courses, and a processing intern in Randall Library’s Special Collections.

 

Her research interests include nineteenth and twenty-first century American literature, the history of books and reading, reception studies, and digital humanities.
