Anlie J. Williams

Anlie Williams is an first-year English Literature PhD student at Vanderbilt University. Additionally, Anlie holds BA and MA degrees in English from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Her current research examines questions of the future of the print book, materially adapted classic novels, and women writers. Additionally, Anlie considers the intersections of reading practices and material culture from nineteenth-century American literature to today, and how those contribute to not only the meaning we make of literature, but also how we shape its reception.

Anlie recently completed her Master's thesis, which focuses on Louisa May Alcott's Little Women.  See About and Current Research to learn more about her work and experience.
